My Hoard :D

Well, since I can't actually show you any more properly done covers without digging out my hard drive from where ever I put it, imma show you a lovely little picture of how much fabric I have:

I know, may not be as much as other people, but its a lot for someone who has a tiny room: ME! (And yes, It is tightly packed in that bottom box) I had a clever thought of taking pictures of all my fabrics that are somehow patterned, so when I make a design on the computer, I can easily photo-shop the fabric in to make it look more realistic. To be honest, it'll come in pretty handy for me too hopefully. 

 I did intend to mock up a design tonight, but since its already 20 to 2 in the morning, I'm just gonna leave you with this and try to update tomorrow. I have nothing else to do, except buy pretty pretty printing paper! YAY The exciting life of a university student huh? 

Anyone else have a photo of the amount of their fabric (that they haven't used i'd like to point out still!) that they want to show??

Mix and Match

I may have managed to achieve putting this cushion I mentioned last off for even longer.... I completely forgot to finish it so now, its just the front of the cushion ready. And here it is:

This one, well I just had the purple from my present in I honestly cant remember and the green spotty I found. But then I needed the turquoise and that was my main problem. The design?? well id been to an open studio (a cambridge thing) for someone doing patchwork, and shed done some so I thought I might try something different. It worked, eventually, once id sorted out which fabric would go where :P

But no I really do think this'll look really good once its fully finished. I'll try do that at christmas – when im next home from uni. Because yes... im at uni now :O 

Be prepared for lots more design ideas.... ive got some in my head already so ill hopefully get them down soon enough :) Just settling in at the minute so bear with me!

I'm Baaaaaaaccckkk

Well hello everyone! Looks like I'm back from my holiday (trust me I didnt want to come back but there were all these things getting in the way of me staying. Things like Uni and family!! How inconsiderate??) But yes. I had an amazing time, got a couple of ideas for some cushions, maybe even a quilt if I can be bothered, but that'd have to wait till next summer!

Thanks to Helen for the Pyramid shaped cushion idea. If you can actually believe me, that particular idea didnt occur to me at all! I'd toyed with the idea of the 3 Giza pyramids on a square cushion, but got no further than that! The main idea that I have in my head at the minute is recreating something like this:

This is called a pylon; the entrance way to the temples, most of which are decorated with scenes showing the kings triumph or worship of the gods. The obelisk (im sure you all know what one of those are) well that would be easy to do as well.... a long, thin rectangle with a triangle on the top! I'll put up my design once i've actually got it down on paper. At the minute its all still in my head, floating round with all the other un-useful bits of information!

Sorry that there's no actual cushion cover here at the moment. I really should finish this one before I go to uni. I've already put it off for about 9 months!!! OOOOOPPSSSS :P
