How awesome are these???

OMG! Work was getting on top of me in these past couple of weeks. I really need to set out a time every week where I just sit and do this! However, one good thing that came out of this work is this next post!!

These cushions look so amazing!! Designed to resemble stones, a big pile of them would a) be so much fun to fling yourself onto (see picture) and b) make the whole room look funky!!!
I only really found them because Im designing my building around the idea of the 5 senses, with 2 specific areas; play and relaxation. these cushions?? = epitome of relaxation!! You dont even need to have loads. As shown below, a couple works just as well, perhaps even better since you really can get the idea that they're stones! It'll suprise everyone!!

Fun thought: I read a fact recently that said in Ancient Egyptian times, their pillows were made out of stone. I dont think they'd seen these had they?? So much more comfortable :D

Design Time

Ooopppppsss I may have forgotten to post recently. But thats no matter, because here is one now! Yes, it is just a design, basically, me just playing around with my fabrics on photoshop.

This one stemmed from a couple of cushions that I saw on the internet one day, and thought that they'd make a really nice idea. I did change the colours that they had used, from white to black, and obviously I dont have the same patterened fabric that they do. Instead I decided to use one of my Egypt fabrics.

As you can see its a really bright fabric, again only of hieroglyphics but still :) I dont know whether I'll actually make it or not but still, its something to do.

I'll have to make up a couple more designs soon so keeep waiting :)

Vintage Fair anyone?

Well, I'm finally back online! The stupid internet here at uni decided to break last Wednesday and its taken until now to sort it. To be completely honest, we didn't think we would get internet until later today when the BT man came to sort it out. But hey, I have it now, I'm not going to knock it.

Now, i'm sure you all want to know what I've spent my week doing. Not much is the answer to that one! I did make on new design on the computer, but that's not what im talking about in this post.

Last Saturday, a Vintage Fair came to my University for the day.( Judy's Vintage Fair )Now me and my friend have wanted to go for the past 2 years so we saved the day and had a look round. Personally I was looking for a nice Rock-a-billy dress for dancing, but they didn't have any nice ones my size. Thank fully I did find another dress just before leaving so now I have a pretty polka-dot black and white dress!

That is what this article is properly about: POLKA DOT! Some of the stalls had bins with fabrics to buy so of course I had to have a look :) I found myself a nice sky blue fabric with white polka dots on:

Of course I have absolutely no clue as to what i'll use it for, but perhaps I can combine it with another of my polka dot fabrics:

...to make a very patterned cushion/quilt. Or maybe I should be slightly sensible and stick to patterned and plain?? (Personally I think that's boring!!!)
